[close] Want to start the new year off right by reading more and meeting new people? Look no further and join our new book club! As the group name suggests, we are a group of Upper West Siders who are in our 20's/30's and enjoy reading! The first half of the book club we will chat and get to know each other and the second half, we will discuss the book. The goal is to keep a balance so that we actually discuss the book but also get to meet new people too!We read fiction and non-fiction books, taking suggestions from members and voting beforehand.

[close] Hey there! We are looking for members to join a book club for 20-somethings in NYC called "Classics and Cuisine". The name might be a bit misleading - while we started out reading the heavy classics, we've moved along to modern fiction and provide a chance to vote on any three books every month. For example, I believe we plan to read The Night Circus for January (a far departure from our heavy classics). Basically, we think this could be a fun chance to be able to catch up on all the books we missed while also being able to explore some restaurants and bars in NYC. We meet every month or so in a different place, grab a drink and some dinner and discuss our latest book. We currently have a bit of room for new members, so, if you're interested, please email us a short blurb about yourself, and the last book you read (or are currently reading)! [close] We are a book club that meets in real life. We are open to any interested person (18 and older), but you must be approved by a moderator in order to be added. In 2020, we are working through “A New Path” by Arthur Haines [http://www.arthurhaines.com/anewpath]. We are currently on chapter 3, which we’ll discuss on February 23rd.
