[close] Hosted through the Multicultural Resource Center at Missouri State University. This is a book club for students associated with MSU to connect over diverse, intersectional literature that highlights different experiences, and to start bigger discussions about the world.

[close] For anyone that reads YA and Middle Grade and wants recommendations or to share them for own voices and diverse author-written books. Own voices are books where the author has the same marginalisation as the main character(s). We accept all marginalisations: race, disability (including mental illness, chronic illness, neurodivergent, etc), fat, LGBTQIA2+ (Including nonbinary and Indigenous genders, asexual and aromantic spec, multigender attraction, etc), sex workers, etc.

[close] Welcome! Here we love to read books that center or feature disability in some sort of way, because we all deserve representation. Each month there will be a new book highlighted, and a discussion surrounding that book. There’s no pressure to read it; it’s just a suggestion.
