[close] We are the Letter Writers Society and Friends. We decided to read one banned book per month. We can discuss letter-writing as well.

[close] Running to Thousand Letters - An Unexpected Adventure is the first in a series about what happens when Author and lifelong adventurer Wendy Drake unfolds 1,000 letters she bought at an estate sale in 1997.

[close] I decided to create this group for fans of traditional letter-writing. In a world where technological advances (in the form of email, social networking sites, and texts) have eclipsed the old-fashioned art of letter-writing, I want to bring a little of that magic back. Anyone who has ever opened a letter understands the power of the writer's thoughtfulness and sentiments. The fact that the writer took the time out of his/her busy life to write the letter out by hand and then send it in the mail is pretty rare and incredible. This group is not necessarily for members just to post the letters they send to or receive from their loved ones. It's also to provide tips and ideas to one another on how and what to write.
