New Fantasy books (post 2025) by male authors of similar calibre will be added to this group, so other's with similar taste's needn't meander through mediocrity to find them. I've left a synopsis of my 3 favourite titles so you know what to expect; "A Game of Thrones" is the first book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, a high fantasy epic known for its intricate political maneuvering, complex characters, and high stakes. "The Blade Itself" is the first book in Joe Abercrombie's The First Law series, a gritty fantasy known for its dark humor, morally grey characters, and realistic depiction of war and violence. "Prince of Thorns" is the first book in Mark Lawrence's The Broken Empire series, a dark fantasy known for its brutal world, morally ambiguous characters, and focus on power struggles.
