[close] Hello and welcome to this energetic forum on Science and Spirituality! Science is familiar but still young. Spirituality is ancient but still mysterious. Can the two throw light on each other? Can science and spirituality come together for the benefit of humankind? Would they be more beneficial together than if either was absent? Would a world without science be better than a world without spirituality? Faced with a choice, which would you prefer? I suggest science and spirituality are inseparable. They are two sides of one coin. We need both. Neither are falsehoods. Indeed, a large portion of the scientific community has gone on record in the high-ranking science journal Nature stating their belief in a Deity. In the 1997 landmark survey, American scientists were asked if they believed in a God to whom they could pray. 39.3 percent of them said Yes. Science and Spirituality, then, are merely different pathways to discovery. One outer, the other inner. NEW convergences of science and spirituality substantiate this. They are so striking, they have been published in peer-reviewed, MAINSTREAM, international SCIENCE magazines.
