[close] We’re here because we love to read. But what do we really know about the books we read? The purpose of this group is to explore and gain a deeper appreciation for our favorite characters by putting them in a situation from the books of another author. For instance, take Harry Bosch (Michael Connelly detective series) and put him in a Harry Potter Book. Or partner him with Harry Dresden on a case from one of Jim Butcher’s books. Based on what you know about Harry Bosch, how would he respond if he found himself in a world of magic? Group members can come up with ideas for placing any character in situations from any book. They can also write scenes or short stories with endless possibilities for how these characters would react to the different situations. You can then post your scene or story in the same thread or start a new thread and see if other group members can see your chosen character acting the way he does. This stretches the knowledge of what we read for you and the person who reads your story. As you can see, the possibilities are as endless as the number of characters and situations in the literary world.
