[close] This group will focus on literature and books concerning history, philosophy, psychology, natural and social science, religion and spirituality, and the arts published at least 50 years ago, the theory being: first, that the long-term reputation of a book is a more reliable filter to sort wheat from chaff than contemporary reviews or sales; second, that the books we read will address enduring themes and raise enduring questions; and, third, that judgment and taste should be seasoned by history and familiarity with the best writing and ideas of the past.

Consider this a platform to squeeze those limes and tangerines from gripping books and wring out their juicy gossips! Little do we know how much is out there waiting for us to explore and discover! Let's delve into the intricacies and complexities of other authors' thinking and allow them to stir familiar or unexpected emotions within us to get the conversation rolling! Through this, let's entertain similar or differing ideas, challenging the dynamics of our own thinking! The objective is to read the monthly allocated books. Then, during the last week of the month, discuss the book. This is an open conversation for all to contribute their thoughts and feelings! Through this journey, we'll face sour ideas like limes and a tad sweeter ones like tangerines!
