I write dark paranormal romance for readers who want the heroine to
win, not be rescued.

My women are clever, competent, and usually holding the receipts. My
men are dangerous, obsessive, and learning — slowly, painfully — that
she was never the one who needed saving.

The Violet Queen Trilogy is complete: The Liability Clause,
The Feral Audit and The Asset Recovery. Fated mates,
corporate warfare with teeth, and a debt that comes due in blood. No
cheating, and always a happily ever after.

I'm currently writing Mated to the Shadows, book one of the
Molten Crimson series — a half-demon smuggler, a half-vampire king,
and a border neither of them should cross.

The Allure of Gothic Romantasy: Why Atmospheric Dread Makes Romance Hit Harder

When October arrives, readers reach for crumbling estates, fog-drenched forests and ancient curses. Why gothic romantasy's atmospheric dread makes romantic tension burn hotter — isolation, danger that blurs into desire, and the dark bargain.

I spent years in rooms where people negotiated over other people's lives using words like liability and asset recovery — clean language for very unclean things. The Violet Queen trilogy started as a question: what if the pack politics of a shifter wo See Full Answer
