D. H. Schleicher’s new historical literary fiction novel, Dark Like a Lake, will be released in the spring of 2027. His previous novels include the historical thriller Then Came Darkness, which plumbs the depths of greed, revenge, and family dysfunction during the Great Depression; and West Falls Revisited, which pieces together a contemporary mosaic of a small town in crisis. His novels share some locations and characters, though all three works can stand on their own. He also penned the thematically linked short story collections And Then We Vanish and When We Come Back. He hails from the South Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia where he lives with his wife and son.
