I think just like the other women, no matter their human condition, once converted, they become reborn into a new being. So even though she is past 60 and has experienced menopause, with her being as a Carpathian, she is now fertile once again. As the author said, she is very young in Carpathian years. Think of Colleen with heart disease or Antonia who is blind but now has had her vision restore somewhat. she can see but like an animal with infrared vision.
