         Like you, I enjoyed the movie but very quickly it diverged into a wholly independent story. I'm not sure it would be possible to do justice to the book except by rendering it episodically, leaving in the magic to create that continual sense of wonder and awe. And leave the viewer, like the reader, to make what sense of it he will.
