I did like the audio book, but having listened to my mother-in-law's Polish accent for so many years, I found the accents a bit too Scandinavian, and some of the mispronunciations were disappointing as well. Polish is a difficult language to master as a second language, so it's understandable. But I think someone reading a book like this might have had some better dialect coaching.
I distinctly heard a Scottish accent from both Alina's mom and her guide.
I thought they sounded Scottish or Irish too.
I felt the Polish accent sounded Irish at times.
