I can´t tell why but I was feeling the exact same way!
I see where you're coming from, but I feel like the characters in Norwegian Wood are very flat in comparison and the whole story is just very, very extensive compared to how dense Normal People is!
Yep, the first half the book gave me a very strong Norwegian Wood vibe, but this book doesn't end as skillfully.
