I haven't read Giver yet, but I just finished Book Woman and hated it, so I'm glad to see that there are some people who think Giver is better. I'm starting that one now and I would hate to have two terrible books in a row. I also have read the article about the plagiarism and it seems to me to be more of a publicity stunt than anything. Even side by side a lot of those passages are stretches for plagiarism, in my opinion.
I preferred Giver also, maybe in part because I listened on audible and loved its narrator. Both good books, though

I agree. I enjoyed both books, but I feel like the similarities are not similar enough to be plagirism and that I enjoyed The giver of stars more.
