It never occurred to me that it could be a dream. Whose dream would it be? It didn't read like that to me. I thought since the older sister always told the younger ones stories to soothe her, it made sense that hers would be the voice we heard.
yes, and whether it was a dream or not they clearly overlapped with Laila at some point since they knew about her (or possibly another victim). Though I thought it worked also as a commentary about story and the power of story to connect.
I wasn't sure either if the girls were found. I think they knew where they were, but not if they were alive or dead!
