Nancy French It was, but it referenced the movie, not the book.

Kasia the twins are only featured in the film, the book makes no mention of twins

Paula Weatherly I thought it was a reference to the Shining movie as well, but those kids aren’t twins. I have always thought they were twins too, but recently re-watched the movie and they aren’t. They are a couple years apart (mentioned in the job interview) and one is bigger than the other.
