Ugh! That's my biggest gripe about this book! What a set-up to do something really fun. Of course, because she's a kid...maybe he did write something and the publishers got scared to allow it through...
I kind of like that nothing concrete was mentioned about her again. In the end, her tattling on Avery was what led to his powers being so heavily charged, so there was a nice bit of irony there.
