Carol Hey, I know I am kind of really late to write a comment here. But I read the book too and It made me feel like with I wasn't alone. I am a Brazilian girl and I lost my grandmother recently too: and she was my second mother. I know that it's really different from losing a mother, but it was really painful. I felt like nobody was understanding me because I was the first of my friends to lose someone that is really close. She died of leukemia: but she was a hero because she survived 10 years with this terrible thing. Actually, I just want to say how much pleased I am because of your story: with it I felt that all of my feelings was there and that someone understand it... It is my favorite book because it made me happy when I just could see sadness in my life.
