Really, “so what if it is?” Maybe I have close ties to adoption and I don’t want to read something that’s going to make me feel awful. Maybe I’ve read too many other books about adoption from completely ignorant authors that I’ve found offensive. She can write it any way she wants to, but I don’t have to read it. Thankfully, many other people answered my question with much more empathy and I did read the book and I loved it.
