Maria Rose Problem is that some of us come into the series later than others and unless you are a diehard fan of all of his works, you would have missed Edgedancee novella. I got into his books, from reading his father's works which he finished a series on.

Brenda Mmmmm, Jordan was not his father, and he was hired to complete the epic due to Mistborn. Unless you know something I don't?

I'm OCD about picking up a portion of a well documented series. No matter the author, and I've been handed free promotional books at Cons, of it's part of a series I hesitate to drive.

Let's be more clear. I met Robin Hobb at ECC. Was pressured into accepting a free, autographed book, and was hooked. The book was #1 of a trilogy, which I read, and proceeded to purchase all the previous trilogies.

Sanderson doesn't write that way. You REALLY need to start from the beginning

Maria Rose Brenda, I am only referring to the Stormlight Archive books of which this book is part, I haven't read much else of his works, like the Mistborn series.
