It reminds me the J.K.Rowling situation when fans were not happy she stopped writing fantasy and wrote a book for adults. :(
Not me ;) I was so happy that I could read anything new written by Rowling...
What about genre? Is it okay to write in different genres? I have some thriller pieces but then have a historical fiction piece that I'm working on. Would that cause the same issues?

Not me ;) I was so happy that I could read anything new written by Rowling...
