Slick Haha subtlety obviously doesn't suit me :D
I thought it was!
Im sure you will nail it, hopefully not the end of your world though i hope. Id love to read some more novels based in the Empire!

Brian Staveley Oh, there almost certainly will be. After this trilogy, I'd like to do a couple stand-alones. Any secondary characters you'd like to see more of? (The Flea? Pyrre? Akiil?)

Slick Awesome!! I love all of them haha
A Leech on the run from the law? ;)

Glenn Curry Brian, my opinion on your stand alone novels would be in the vane of Dennis McKiernan's the red slippers. A collection of Short stories. Some could be about a character, some could be about the first wack-a-nut that thought "hey imagine getting one of those gigantic birds to fly me," and not end up regurgitated to its young.

Brian Staveley I love the idea of a Kettral foundation story, Glenn. I've been playing with that one for a while. And Slick, I have a story in the Neverland's Library anthology that's sorta like what you're proposing here...

Slick Just got it now haha thank you Amazon!
Maybe a prequel? Or different characters altogether outside the empire :B

So many options to play with :D

Brian Staveley I'm definitely excited to explore even more of the world...

Shelly I was convinced Uinian was an emotion leach, since his position gave him a lot of power over large crowds - like he could whip people into a frenzy, etc. It was a bit too far-fetched, but I liked the theory :P

Brian Staveley Not a bad theory!
