I think shes asking why no one asked around after the accident.
That makes even less sense; no one knew about the coffee shop at the time, right? Who knows, when it comes to the little details, this book was pretty sloppy.
Thanks for clarifying, though.
Claire knew about the coffee shop. Seems like that would be a pretty good lead for the police
