Katelyn I was thinking the same thing! Or Muhtar's son would make sense as well.

Dini It would not make sense for it to be Muhtar since Ayoola says "this is my sister, Korede" as if introducing her for the first time.

message 3: by Gina (new)

Gina It could still be Muhtar, but maybe he was there to date Ayoola. While he was in the hospital, he said that he hadn't met Korede's sister and couldn't judge her beauty. Maybe he met Ayoola without realizing she was Korede's sister. But if that's the case, he may not be victim #5, because he would realize that Ayoola was Korede's murderous sister and end the relationship before it started.

Kristina Coop-a-Loop Nah, it's not Muhtar. He is in the past. This is Ayoola's next victim. The author introduced him to show that the pattern will continue until an outside force puts a stop to Ayoola's murdering ways. Koreded never will and she will never have a life of her own because of it.

Lia S I was thinking it could have been Muhtar as well, but it seemed like the man was there for Ayoola

message 6: by Allison (new)

Allison If it was Muhtar the observation would not have been that the roses that the man brought were unimaginative.

message 7: by Eszter (new)

Eszter Yes, Allison has a point there. I'd like to believe that it's Muhtar, but I get the feeling that it's just another one of Ayoola's victims and that Korede will forever keep on playing the role of the protector...
