 Charlie They do but I wanted to hear them from you. We have the same position. There was an interesting review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and I found myself very much defending your choices as they did not seem that odd to me. Most 30yr old men dont know what the are doing but a lot of people expected Valyn to be all powerful despite having NO FRIGGING CLUE what is going on around him. Like I said in my review, these guys cant jump on facebook or text and go "Hey Adare, what's up with the throne? It's looking a bit unhewen, should we come home?"

 Charlie This was my take on things to their complaint - One thing in Valyn's defence. All the training in the world could not prepare you for your father being assassinated and you and your family being hunted especially when you have no idea who did it and you are not allowed to pursue any investigation. I think given a clear target Valyn could be very effective but the whole point is that none of these kids know what's happening.
