Loved this comment. I agree: some male authors can't seem to create true to life female characters. Thanks for all of the book recommendations in this comment: they are now on my TBR list: and I agree about One Day - very disappointing!
I have to say, I enjoyed One Day! But what I really wanted to say, Leah, is that I 100% agree with your comment about feeling so tenderly about the characters in Normal People. I can’t remember a time when I’ve fallen so in love with a book’s characters and have felt so deeply their own joy and sadness.
100% agree re man in ONE DAY , could'nt believe she would be bothered about him
I literally had the same thoughts about this book and One Day
