Kya didn't need a man to protect her. She had lived her whole life on her own. I would have been disappointed if a knight in shining armor rushed in and rescued her. This was Kya's story. I thought the ending was perfect.
I had thought it was Tate after the passage where they were passing the red hat back and forth after she had visited his research boat.
I thought Jumpin, Tate or maybe Chase's wife because she was jealous of Chase liking Kya (even though he was a twisted jerk) since he always wore the necklace.
