Yes, Nick wanted a baby, but staying with Amy would be the equivalent of Clarice Starling (in 'Silence of the Lambs') marrying Hannibal Lecter because she wants to start a family. I just can't see it. Nick may not have known everything about Amy's past, but he knew enough to know how treacherous & dangerous she was.
Haha. Barely remember the book at this point ... but have to agree.
