the very reason I don't read questions / reviews about books until after I've read them
Yes, I try to read reviews after also. I do like reviews before only if I'm in a quandary. then I read 5- and 1-stars to help decide. I hadn't read these until I was done with the book and I thought the intro added to the read. Altho I felt a bit of a sucker for believing it when I was done.
