Jeni Wilson That's my concern, he's like a super, mutant hamster

Laura E. Mackey I get worried every time she leaves him. I hope she never comes back to an empty cage.

Joan It will be a sad day if something happens to Rex. Would need to get Rex 2.0

Laura Steinert I don't want to break your heart, but I"m pretty sure Ranger has been replacing Rex on a regular basis with a younger healthier version. It's what someone who loves you would do to protect you from a broken heart. Rex 1 through 9 where lovingly prepared for burial by Ellie and are in cold storage in the Bat Cave basement.

Laura E. Mackey Laura Steinert I love your Rex answer, and I can really see Ranger doing this.

Jenny Hoerauf I love this thread!

Lucille I dont' know why the nay sayers think each book should add a year to the lives of the characters (including Rex). Geez, if you are tired of the series move on, for goodness sakes. The rest of us are just grateful each time another episode is released. heck, I wish they would take all these books and turn them into a TV series!

Heather I love the Rex replaced by Ranger idea. I, too, worry about Rex dying whenever Stephanie mentions him!
