yes, I wonder that too. I think he would have simply based on the fact that he did kill who he thought slept with his wife.
He killed Dexter because he never did trust or like him. Being a pastor made it doubly hypocritical in Pete's mind. I think he would have forgiven Liza if he had known it was Jupe. And he would not have gone after Jupe since he was in Chicago and likely would have been hard to find
