Either skip the second part altogether and move onto the third part or read the last two chapters of the second part and then move onto the third part.
Wish I had read this before finishing it this afternoon.
Skim through and skip most. Too much for me.
Best way to read this book is to start with Part 2, skip over all the war narrative, pick up with Part 1 and read to the end and just brace yourself for the spiral down as Joel and Stella are completely screwed.
