What is the basis for your opposition to the translation by Ms. Garnett . Please elaborate . Thanks .
She used to misunderstand things without realizing, and if she didn't understand a paragraph she just skipped it. I read her Anna Karenina and then watched a series of lectures by a teacher who had read it in Russian and large details of the plot were completely different
