Fascinating that the blurb/summary of the book gives virtually no hint of this.
Agreed, Patrick! A singular oversight, I fear, considering the book's title alone might pique ones interest? Coirr-checking Amazon's usual Booklist blurb for this, Lewis's latest, and it too lacks any hint of what the 'fifth risk' is. In contrast is the title of Elizabeth Kolbert's Pulitzer Prize winning book on our current global warming crisis "Sixth Extinction" ? Most of us are likely aware of the earth's five major geologic and climatic ages, if we paid attention in earth science class?
Forgive my typos. I was writing fast.
no problem on the typos - but the sixth extinction went right over my head. Never heard of any of that.... or Lewis' position.
Thanks for the explanation. This is such an important book, America has to know how this administration is damaging our core.
A bit more specifically, perhaps, willful ignorance and failure to imagine possible risks on the part of project managers.
