Depends on who you ask. The ones with fur would say they own a couple of humans.Most days I agree.
The most we've ever had at once was 5 dogs & 2 cats, plus birds & squirrels. And that felt like a full time job. We are down to 1 dog & 2 cats. Life would be so empty without them.
We had a mini doxi we rescued at age 9. She was so bad, & so stubborn, She would potty on the floor if we went out without her. But good lord she was so full of love! Saying good-bye never gets easier.
Just one question. How do walk so many dogs? Just let them out in the yard?

Yep, we fence in our property so they can all go out and run. I try to take the ones who enjoy it the most for walks with me when I go. The older ones and the ones who'd stress about it just enjoy their privacy fenced yard. #:0)
