there's also another version that Athena did that out of pity for her priestess so that no men would dare to defile her again. To me, it seems more of a plausible event as Athena is a goddess of wisdom, isn't she? Would be unwise of her to curse an innocent maiden for something she didn't commit intentionally? I can see that you're not quite a fan of Athena in Circe, but I love how you portrayed her character anyway!
