Jane did not kill Ethan’s biological mother; Ethan did. My only confusion was that Anna thought she saw Ethan at his computer, so he could not have done it. But by the end, with the box cutter’s in Ethan’s hand, trying to kill Anna, we know he killed his biological mother. There was really not enough characterization of Jane to know if she could have done it or not, in my opinion. This book has way more twists than Rear Window and except for a few things which made me realize that a man wrote this, versus a woman, I enjoyed it. I hate the fact that no mention of the cat was made at the end. Really a big mistake, in my opinion. The last mention of him, a really significant part of Anna’s life after the death of her husband and daughter, and the last we hear is that Punch is laying on the couch after Ethan has broken his legs. I am sorry. Punch should have been addressed in the end. That bugged me.
