i completely agree. wanted to punch her in the face a few chapters in. what are her qualifications other than being perfect in every way.
I disagree, I believe Rachel is trying to make everybody look for the positive side of themselves and make everybody feel like they belong, not sound like she's self absorbed.
I completely agree! She is so self-centered, the entire book is all about herself, nothing to do with a self-help book for others. I just started to read her second book to see if it was anything different, I already want to slap her two words in.
WRONG!!! To all these negative comments about her being a narcissist, that is ENTIRELY FALSE! The author in fact still deals with self-consciousness, as written in the foreword, she writes positive messages to combat the evil bias and blatant hatred in society AND APPARENTLY IN THESE COMMENTS.
I think that this is for a lot younger generation- I could not even remotely relate to her or listen to her go on about herself! In my 40's and not impressed!
30 here, and I'm in your boat too- perhaps we should find ourselves a nice island apart from these girls (shrugs shoulders)...

If you read further in the book, she mentions that for a good portion of her life, she felt small. She strives (and encourages others) to not underestimate herself and be real. Friends, y'all have some pent up anger, but I'm glad you found people to relate to.
