He didn't feel compelled to re-save the little girl because she ended up a productive citizen, even though she was in a wheelchair. And he didn't save the family because even when he did, bad things happened to them anyway (Harry was injured in the Tet Offensive, and he lived in the 2011 that was very grim). Jake had no way of knowing whether or not *those* changes (saving the girl and the family) were the ones that changed the course of the world in some way.
