I agree! I had no idea about the Bill Hodges series prior to reading this book. Now I need to go read them!
Just finished book 1: Mr Mercedes.
No plot spoilers. The only spoiler was that my own expectations spoiled the book. It was ok, just not anywhere near as good as The Outsider.
I had never heard of the Bill Hodges trilogy, either. I'd planned on reading it - but if it's not as good as The Outsider, I may pass. DV, are you going to read the second one?
Hey Val... I didn’t in the end. I instead opted to go with some older books of his that he thinks are his scariest/most disturbing. (Pet Sematary & The Shining).
TY for your quick response! I'm not sure I want to read the trilogy, now. I'll put it at the bottom of my TBR list. 😉
