Amy This is not a book to be reread. ugh. The confusion isn't necessarily the reader's but the 2 authors going back and forth and neither wanting to relinquish a single chapter. I think it could have helped to have the woman's name on each chapter so we knew whose POV we were following.

Elaine Ford You are right....the 2 authors create this confusion. I thought it was me. So glad to have read these reviews. However, i read them after i read the book.

Terri Fed I didn't have any confusion following the plot line and felt the two authors did a brilliant job. The twists and revelations would not be so if they had character names as chapter headings. This is a psychological thriller. Readers should be confused and left in the dark. But the authors left a lot of bread crumbs for us to follow.

Amy Struggling to figure out a plot pattern and who is speaking or who is who isn’t really a psychological thriller. Confusing a reader shouldn’t be the aim of a good writer as opposed to engaging a reader into plot nuances.
I’m glad it worked for some

Mommooshka Occasionally I've reread a good book to pick up nuances or clues I didn't fully realize. But I don't want to have to reread a book where the author was unclear or overly confusing. There are too many other, good books to read instead!

Niomi Agree!

message 8: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Amy I agree completely. It was very confusing since they didn't have the character names as chapter heads.

Teresa There were so many pointless details in the book they could have left out. I nearly stopped reading when they got to her putting butter on her toast (spoiler alert - this does not advance the story at all) but I'm a completionist and I toughed it out.
