He's tired of being asked because he's stuck. I guarantee it. He painted himself into one tight corner and now he's screwed. I'm sorry to hear about your losses btw, I know it's hard to lose loved ones (be they furry or otherwise) stay strong.
TO blame HIM for lacking an escape from reality is so beyond reproach it's fucking appalling. You should be ashamed of yourself. He isn't your personal scribe writing books for the moments when you need them in life.
Dylan he's no sort of scribe at all at this point. I didn't see any blaming, just someone fed up with waiting. It's pretty clear at this point that there are far more important things that Pat would rather be doing... writing is no where near the top of his list. You should be ashamed for trying to put words in someone's mouth and paint them as some sort of ungrateful monster. Less histrionics please.
I'm sorry Zach, you can be fed up with waiting without going on about the hardships that have happened in your life. Why do those hardships matter? The post literally discusses how they used to have his books as an escape and now they don't and they are mad about it. How else am I supposed to interpret that? "When I need a moment of escape, it is time that you do your job."
Once again, and I know it's very hard for many of you to understand this, he is not our personal author. He owes a book to his publisher, and they will let him write on his own time. He is allowed to do that, and you can either buy his book or not. But to whine about it as if he owes you anything is ridiculous
A story such as yours does give perspective. I feel sorry for Rothfuss because I know it must be eco crushing not to be able to deliver - something along the line of erectile dysfunction but yours is a story of real life and the pains we go through. The heartbreak of losing a companion we love; having a child die in the family; being estranged from one's parent. Thank you for commenting.
