I shipped them as well! It’s kinda disappointing :/
Yeah, CalypsoxLeo is fine but it kinda came out of nowhere. Then again, he seems to realise that and gave them some time to work on their relationship. That was a pretty mature move you don't often see even in YA, let alone in middle grade books.
Honestly now that you mentioned it, if CalxLeo came out of nowhere then its a possibility the ReyxApollo will be made a ship!
I would have preferred Jason to dump Piper and get with Reyna, but I guess that would've been a bit harsh. Although, Piper did dump him which made me hate her sooo much. I mean, after she was so afraid that he would leave her! She's just so cruel
I actually liked that they grew apart after everything was settled. Their relationship, cute as it was, was hand made by the gods and they did't get to fall in love normally since there was always danger afoot. So it makes sense thaat they needed space after everything was cleared. It wasn't either of their fault. Sometimes relationships just don't work. It was bold of Riordan to pull that in a middle grade book and I was impressed.
