Leslie Coakley I completely agree with you. I thought there would be more nuanced because the book was written with such deep layers of deceptive and intrigue. So why did she kiss him at her house. I guess we don't know because everything was written from his point of view and his narration. Why did V actually break up with Mike and strart seeing Angus? Did she tired of Mike and did she realize how unstable he was. Would love more of your insight.

Jillian Hi Leslie! I got the feeling that during their time apart, she maybe realized that they had been together for a long time, and that she was ready to try being with someone else. It sounds like he was a little obsessive and they were joined at the hip, and I think when people in relationships like that get to have a break, they often see that things could be different, maybe more balanced.
