I seem to agree with both of you - I read this book rapidly accompanied by a sense of uneasy and impeding doom and yet I found the irrationality of Area X difficult and ultimately boring... I felt ultimately shut out by this novel... Not particularly looking forward to the sequel or its follow-on...
Really? Huh. I’m finishing up Authority today. I still like the series. I’d like to hear more about what you have to say. Will you be joining us for the next book club discussion?
I'm one of the ones that found it boring (mind numbingly so) but for a scifi-ish pick that I do find exciting and engaging I'd suggest the MaddAdam series by Margaret Atwood.
