I agree....could not figure out the ending....were Claire and Amber really twins and where does Taylor come in? So Claire was the mean one and Amber not? but she burned her sister and brother in law up in their own home and took the babies and blamed her AUNT? Madeleine???
It was an interesting book. I believe the author was trying to mess up readers brain an I believe she accomplished just that. It seems as there will be a sequence...
My brain literally is hurt. I finished it last night and had crazy dreams about it and still it's making me think too much at work
I agree! I am thinking WAY too much about this as I just finished this morning and I am still like wtf just happened?!
Some readers find an unusual ending part of their reading enjoyment. Others don't. There is no right or wrong, except if you didn't enjoy the ending, the book isn't for you.
Many readers expect authors to come up with fresh approaches to story telling, a majority of readers just want the' same old' warmed up and served with just the names and places changed. No need to consider if the author intended a psychological, thought provoking ending. Full marks to the author for attempting something different.
