Lewis Weinstein I often write the first sentence of a new scene the night before I am going to write the scene. Then I think about it, both consciously and (I think) in my sleep.

Nathan Mogos I guess that is a better tip from a seasoned fellow. Might try that out for a change as I work in shambles, jumping from one unfinished scene to the next just for the sake of keeping the pace of the pen up with the sporadic artistic mind. Then once the plot begins to take shape, I go back tying the loose ends.

Lewis Weinstein if you keep at it, the pieces have a way of coming together. But it does take consistent effort.

Nathan Mogos Ya I know! It is sort of artistic momentum. Once you derail, it is hard to get back on the same track, with the same vivid intensity!
