I often write the first sentence of a new scene the night before I am going to write the scene. Then I think about it, both consciously and (I think) in my sleep.
I guess that is a better tip from a seasoned fellow. Might try that out for a change as I work in shambles, jumping from one unfinished scene to the next just for the sake of keeping the pace of the pen up with the sporadic artistic mind. Then once the plot begins to take shape, I go back tying the loose ends.
