Betsysmith Me too! At the time of the accident, which is when the story begins, she and her husband are very happy (she’s finally pregnant, new book deal, etc). I think the author was trying to mislead us from the get go and make us think there was something going on between Paul and Claire. I feel that if I was inclined to put in the time to reread the book, there would be any number of things that don’t really make sense.

Jackie L Agree. It’s lazy writing; just tossing in “twists”. The bracelet isn’t a twist I think the author doesn’t really know what it means either. If she did, she would have clued us in.

Jackie L One of the lines in the beginning was that her husband didn’t love her and that turned out to be a lie. One of the lines in the end was that she killed her sister... is that a lie too? How? No way the sister survived, and if she went missing it would have been all over the news as the court case was being covered on tv. I hate this ending. It makes no sense.

Ariana Maybe it's not lazy writing and it's just a cliffhanger for the second book?
