Haha I finished the book yesterday and thinking about it today I feel the same way as you :/
Me too! At the time of the accident, which is when the story begins, she and her husband are very happy (she’s finally pregnant, new book deal, etc). I think the author was trying to mislead us from the get go and make us think there was something going on between Paul and Claire. I feel that if I was inclined to put in the time to reread the book, there would be any number of things that don’t really make sense.
Agree. It’s lazy writing; just tossing in “twists”. The bracelet isn’t a twist I think the author doesn’t really know what it means either. If she did, she would have clued us in.
One of the lines in the beginning was that her husband didn’t love her and that turned out to be a lie. One of the lines in the end was that she killed her sister... is that a lie too? How? No way the sister survived, and if she went missing it would have been all over the news as the court case was being covered on tv. I hate this ending. It makes no sense.
Maybe it's not lazy writing and it's just a cliffhanger for the second book?
