Sarah I am puzzled as to how you can say this book has nothing to do with politics while also saying it is about apartheid and post apartheid South Africa. Apartheid was a political system. Noah describes the basis of how the system was established and the political steps taken to keep it in place. He describes how groups were manipulated, by the government, to keep them hating and fearing or aspiring to be in the other groups. It doesn't get much more political than that. Perhaps you meant it has nothing to do with current American politics which is quite accurate.

Sunaina ^ If you want to get literal, yes, you are right, apartheid was a political system. But “political” is a word that can be used in different contexts. If you read my review and understood the subtext, you would see I said I had given background on seeing Noah in BIASED "Occupy Democrat" pages which are heavily skewed liberal in today’s American politics, and I found it refreshing that this book was not about current polarized political discourse.
