Ruth Cuadrado I actually read both on the same month and enjoyed more TN than ATLWCS... I actually read All the light first and really struggled to finish it. The story was very shallow and the whole plot was around a random coincidence of 2 strangers who met briefly without getting to make an impact on each other's lives.

The Nightingale may have been a bit more dramatic at times, but had many interesting stories intertwined with the main plot. It was a fun read and I found it difficult to put down.

Read both and make your own conclusions.

Laurie Yes! I *loved* All the Light We Cannot See! It was a deeply moving story that felt more real than this one. I did like this story, too, but it felt more contrived(?) than ATLWCS.

Rich Emily. I suggest that you read Nemirovsky 's Suite Francaise, (written in 1941 & 42; published in 1994) from which The Nightingale evolved.
